This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
