The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Planners tables.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
