I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
